Notes on Providing Alcohol
Subject
Projects that wish to serve alcohol
- All the necessary procedures for serving alcohol are written in "Handling of Alcohol" of "Almighty vol. 2 in English".
- This page provides only a brief overview of the types of alcohol you can serve and the methods you can serve it. If you wish to serve alcohol, please make sure to refer to "Almighty vol. 2 in English" as well, not just this page.
Alcohol to be Served
- Please make sure to submit an application to serve alcohol in "[3]Request on Handling Food and Drink".
- Cocktails are considered as a Main Item and cannot be combined with other food items that require a cooking procedure. For more details, please refer to the "2. Handling of Food and Drink".
- Cocktails refer to alcohol product that are served with another beverage in the same container, such as soda or water.
- The amount of pure alcohol contained in the alcohol served at one time must be less than 15 grams.
- If you cannot execute the project when the amount of pure alcohol served at one time is less than 15 grams, please contact us via Inquiry.
- The amount of pure alcohol is calculated as follows: Amount of alcohol product served x Alcohol concentration (alcohol content/100) x 0.8 (specific gravity of alcohol).
Example of an alcoholic product with a pure alcohol of about 15 grams
- Beer (alcohol content of 5 percent) 375mL
- Wine (alcohol content of 10 percent) 187mL
- Sake (alcohol content of 15 percent) 125mL
- When serving a ready-made alcohol product, if the amount of pure alcohol per can is 15 grams or less, the alcohol may be served in the can without being transferred to a cup.
- When serving alcohol in cans, be sure to open the can before serving.
- The Committee may set restrictions on the methods to serve alcohol stronger than 10 percent.
- For alcohol product with an alcohol content exceeding 20 percent, be sure to mix them with other non-alcoholic beverages and dilute them to an alcohol content of 20 percent or less before serving.
- Please note that the mixing process makes the product a cocktail and will be considered a Main Item, which means that other Main Items cannot be served.
- We recommend the use of dispensers or measuring cups to ensure the consistency of the alcohol content for each serving.
- Online alcohol sales will not be permitted.
Providing Alcohol to Visitors
- When serving alcohol to visitors, please make sure that they are wearing a valid "Alcohol Pass for Visitors".
- It is not permitted to provide alcohol to visitors who are not wearing a valid "Alcohol Pass for Visitors" or whose Alcohol Pass has been expired. Please direct them to the nearest Information Center.
- When serving alcohol, please put the number of checks specified by the Committee in the designated boxes on the "Alcohol Pass for Visitors".
- The number of checks to be placed in the designated boxes will be indicated on the "Confirmation of Request Results".
- Please take extra precautions not to cause any trouble by serving alcohol.
- If you find a visitor or a project member who is intoxicated, please report the situation to the nearest Committee member.
