1. Reviewing the May Festival

Greetings from the Chairperson

This is Ryunosuke Takagi, the Chairperson of the 98th May Festival Standing Committee. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your participation and cooperation in this year’s May Festival.
The May Festival has been one of the largest school festivals in Japan, and this year we were able to welcome approximately 150,000 visitors, with the number of participated projects surpassing previous years. I am extremely proud of how we made this festival happen together, and turned it into a precious opportunity for us students to share our passions and the fruits of our daily activities with the wider society.
We, the Committee will stay dedicated to our job of ensuring that this large-scale festival, one that has a history of almost a hundred years yet one so fleeting that everything returns to normal the next morning, can be held next year as well. We would like to ask for your continuous support and cooperation in the coming festivals.

Reviewing the 98th May Festival

The 98th May Festival has successfully come to an end. This festival welcomed approximately 150,000 visitors and was participated by 607 projects: the largest number in the festival’s history. It is because of your cooperation that we could conclude this festival without any major accidents.
Furthermore, due to your help with the safety measures including Fire Safety Inspections, environmental measures including garbage separations, and cleaning of facilities as well as Cleaning Checks, we were able to restore Hongo and Yayoi campuses to their original state. We thank you deeply for your cooperation. We would like to conclude this recapitulation by expressing our gratitude to all project members who have participated in the 98th May Festival and who have, together with us, brought joy to the Hongo and Yayoi Campuses this May.
